Fun run and race

The starting point is at East Rand Value Mall, corner Rietfontein and Madeley roads, and will be full of activities on the day. The 15km race starts at 6am followed by the 5km race at 6:05am.

The entry fee for juniors to masters are R50, grand masters R20, while great grand masters and blind runners run free.

A temporary licence fee of R15 will be charged and the fun runners can enter at R20.

Gold medals will be given to all category winners in the 15km race.

The first 800 athletes to finish the 15km race will receive medals as well as the first 400 who finish the 5km fun run.

All finishers on the day will also receive a Birchwood Spur voucher.

The prize giving will start at 8am where first prize for open men and women will receive R500, second prize R300 and third R200.

Veteran men and women between 40 and 49 years will receive R300 for first prize, second prize R200 and third R100.

Master men and women between 50 and 59 years first prize will receive R200 and second R100.

Grandmaster man and woman winners between 60 and 69 years will each receive R100, the great grand master man and woman aged 70 years will receive R100 and the junior boy and girl winners aged 15 to 19 years will also receive R100 each.

Entries for the 15km road race can be done at the Boksburg Stadium until September 20 from 9am to noon or on race day from 4:30am.

The 5km fun run entries will be taken from 4:30am on race day only.
