Impala comes out on top
A soccer tournament hosted at the Impala Platinum sports fields saw four teams coming together to play soccer and have a great time.
The teams, all formed from employees from different companies came together in a sense of friendship and community, and of course to play the sport they all love.
The first match between Sappi and van Wyk’s Electrical saw Sappi gain possession of the ball from the start, with good defence and team work.
Van Wyk’s Electrical put up a good fight and only allowed Sappi to score once, but it was not enough by the end of the game.
Sappi managed to keep them at bay and won the match 1-0.
The second match was played by Implala Platinum and Far East Rand Hospital.
This game was a little more intense as both teams played very well and were neck and neck throughout the game.
But Impala managed to score one more goal before the end of the game, beating Far East Rand 3-2.
In the final game, the winners of the matches faced off in an exciting game.
Impala, filled with energy, managed to win on their home ground, beating Sappi 5-2.
