Springs Town hosts championships

Springs Town Bowling Club hosted the Eastern Ekurhuleni Trips Championships on Sunday.

Five clubs competed in the knockouts.

The following bowling clubs entered its teams: Boksburg, Edenvale, Brakpan Mines, Lake Club and Modderfontein which entered three teams.

Tournament official Mike Smith says 24 teams were playing in the knockouts starting at 9am, and the 12 winning teams then competed in the afternoon.

Unfortunately bowlers from Springs Town were knocked out by two shots last weekend.

The six winning teams will compete in the finals at Springs Old Boys’ Bowling Club on Sunday.
