Springs Old Boys awards its best bowlers

These bowlers were the club's best for the season August 2013 to August 2014.

With the bowling season coming to an end in August, Kevin Usmar is the season’s best men’s bowler and Ann Turner is best women’s player at Springs Old Boys’ Bowling Club.

At the club’s prizegiving, held on Sunday at Springs Old Boys’, Kevin received the prize as victor ludorum, as well as the club’s men’s open singles champion.

Ann is the past season’s victrix ludorum and also the winner of the club’s women’s open singles.

Simon Khuta received the award for the most improved player.

He was also the club’s best novice.

Open singles runner-up: Karen Peres.

Senior singles: 1. Helen Veal, 2. Paul Birbeck.

Handicap singles: 1. Margie McDonald, 2. Helen Veal.

Pairs: 1. Karin Peres and Ann Turner, 2. Cindy Hinrichsen and Sharon Pratt.

Novice runner-up: Brenda Cock.
