Annual general meeting at Pollak Park Golf Club
Club members heard from the steering committee as they presented the financial situation of the club, as well as future plans.
The Pollak Park Golf Club had their annual general meeting (AGM) on May 15.
The meeting began on a sombre note as they held a minute’s silence for club members who had died.
Club members heard from the steering committee as they presented the financial situation of the club, as well as future plans.
“Looking at the first quarter of 2018, I would say that the club is on a healthy wicket so to speak,” says Piet Scheun, who is part of the steering committee.
The club reported a steady increase in membership, and the committee urged members to continue supporting the club.
Five members were elected to be part of the steering committee who will lead the club in 2018.
They are Gavin Adams, Gerhard Gibson, Piet Scheun, Roy Palmer and Wouter Beukes.
Elected as club captain was Gerhard Gibson.
“Thank you to everyone who helps to keep the club going, from the groundsmen, bar staff and those who run the office,” says Scheun.
