Selection Park’s Club C Dance Studio is already celebrating national success after several of its dancers qualified for the DTMA Nationals during the recent Gauteng Provincial round.

Several Club C dancers achieved the honour of qualifying for nationals, where they will have the opportunity to represent Gauteng on the national stage.

The dancers have also received their DTMA Gauteng colours.

Among those who qualified is Bridgett Woest, who successfully secured a place at nationals with both of her solo performances.

The studio’s trio, comprising Michke van den Berg, Candice van Dyk and Woest, also qualified for nationals and will compete together while representing Gauteng.

According to Club C’s founder Candice van Dyk, the achievements are about more than medals and competition results.

She said that the studio was established to give dancers in Springs a place where they can feel seen, encouraged and supported.

“Watching dancers grow in confidence, form new friendships and realise what they are capable of has been one of the most rewarding parts of opening the studio,” said van Dyk.

Van Dyk expressed that seeing the dancers reach national levels so soon after the studio opened has been particularly special.

“We are so proud to be a local Springs studio and even prouder that our dancers will be carrying not only the Club C name but also representing Gauteng at Nationals,” she said.
