Sewage spilling into streets in Toekoms
Sewage is leaking out of the pipes and spilling out into the surrounding area and almost all the way into 7th Street.
Municipal housing complex Toekoms has been sitting with a major sewage problem for a week now.
Sewage is leaking out of the pipes and spilling out into the surrounding area and almost all the way into 7th Street.

Some of the drainage covers have been lifted and members of Toekoms have covered the holeswith pieces of wood. This, as well as the spilled sewage, poses a great danger to children playing in the surrounding area.
David Klein, a resident, says that one of the caretakers at Toekoms has lodged a complaint with the metro.
“The issue has been going on for a week now. It is unacceptable and no one wants to help us,” says David.
