Vita Nova Centre appeals for urgent nappy donations amid funding delays

The Vita Nova Centre is calling on the Springs community to donate essential nappies as it struggles to care for residents while awaiting delayed government funding.

The Vita Nova Centre is appealing to the Springs community to help restore its residents’ dignity through donations.

“As we continue to wait for government subsidies expected only in May, we have reached a point where we are struggling to provide the most basic necessity for our residents, such as nappies,” said the centre’s director, Michelle Immelman.

The centre is in urgent need of adult nappies in sizes small to extra small and size five children’s nappies.

“No one should have to go without something so essential to their comfort, hygiene, and self-respect. Yet right now, that is the reality we are facing,” Immelman said.

“If you are able, help us restore dignity to those who depend on us every single day,” she said.

Anyone who would like to assist can contact Immelman on 082 372 8139 between 07:00 and 14:00.

“Your support, no matter how small, can make an immediate and meaningful difference,” Immelman said.
