Deep from the grandeur of the beautiful Canadian landscape, a challenge was put up for South Africa’s number one arm wrestler.
Devon Larratt, six-time World Armwrestling League champion with a 34-4 career record challenged the South African Champion Terence Opperman.
“What’s up South Africa? I am coming to party with you guys. Who is your number one guy? Let’s do this…” Larratt said in a WhatsApp video.
“Challenge accepted,” said Terence who showed he still has what it takes to stay on top of his game.
Terence is one of a few arm wrestlers that use both arms to arm wrestle, be it his left or right arm he will surely have you down in a split second.
He has been unbeaten since July last year.

There is a lot more to arm-wrestling than just brute force.
The national lockdown has had an impact on training, but Terence still keeps up a strict training schedule at home.
His training includes power build and techniques.
On Saturday, August 1 he practised against Kobus Fourie.
Videos show Terence holding Kobus effortlessly for a few seconds before nonchalantly pressing his arm down.
“There is just too much power in Terence’s arms,” Kobus said afterwards.
If lockdown permits Larratt will be in the country in six months.
“I am ready to take Devon on. I know it is going to be a spectacular show because he is an incredible sportsman. In just a few months we will see who is king on the arm wrestling table,” Terence concluded.
