The incident happened in Extension 8 on Friday night, February 7 at approximately 02:30 when she heard a noise outside.
She first thought it was her husband returning from work, but when she woke up to the sight of a man looking through her bedroom window with a torch in one and a gun in the other, she knew there was trouble.
“He only managed to open this window because there is a problem it does not close properly,” said the petrified woman who does not want to be named.
The woman then continued; “He told me that he wanted money that was inside the house and told me to give him a house key so he could come in, other wise he would shoot me and the children.”
Once the man was inside, he searched the house and found rental money and also took a cell phone.
Then the suspect told the woman to go outside. He walked with her up to the gate where he wanted to have sex with her.
“I refused that and I just kept on saying no, no, no. He eventually took my wedding ring,” said the woman.
He then told her to fetch stuff inside the house for him, she ran inside and that is where she locked herself in.
The suspect then ran away.
