Vosman SAPS probes shooting and carjacking in Kwa-Guqa Ext 10
Police have launched an investigation after a man was shot and his vehicle stolen near a tavern in Kwa-Guqa extensions.
A man was shot multiple times and his vehicle stolen near a tavern in Kwa-Guqa Ext 10 on Tuesday, August 25.
According to police, at around 22:30 officers on patrol responded to a call regarding a shooting. On arrival, they found a man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Community members had gathered at the scene.
Ambushed outside residence
Witnesses told police that two armed men approached the victim and his companion outside a nearby residence. The suspects allegedly ordered the second victim to lie down, searched the man, and demanded his car keys. They then shot him repeatedly before fleeing with the second victim’s cellphone and the man’s vehicle.
The injured man was taken to hospital.

Police appeal for information
Vosman SAPS confirmed that cases of attempted murder and carjacking are under investigation. Police are appealing to anyone with information that can help with the investigation to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
Witbank News contacted Vosman SAPS spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Vusi Mnisi, for comment, but he had not yet responded by the time of publication.
