Ledwaba gets 20 years for double murder

Mr Ronnie Ledwaba (30) will serve 20 years in imprisonment after he killed his lover and a friend.

Ledwaba was sentenced for the double murder he committed on December 15 2011 at about 19:30 Extension 9 KwaGuqa.

According to the report from the police, his lover Ms Nomsa Ngwenya (27) arrived in a car and was accompanied by Mr S. Shube (35) who was driving. Once the two had parked near the house, Mr Ledwaba came out of the house and approached the two armed with his licensed revolver.

It was reported that he fired 15 shots at both his lover and Mr Shube. Mr Shube was shot three times in his neck while Ms Ngwenya was shot in the chest. They both died on the scene.

Mr Ledwaba then went to Vosman Police Station to hand himself  over, together with his firearm and told the police what he had done. He was then arrested and charged.

The couple has two children; one is one year old while the other is six years old.
He was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment and was declared not fit to possess a firearm.
