March is world TB month

Santa HIV/AIDS Mpumalanga is a non-profit making organisation. Their main objective is to take care of people who suffer from TB, HIV/AIDS and their immediate families.

“We are also involved in running awareness campaigns in the communities to make the community aware about these killer diseases.
March is regarded as a world TB month and Santa in partnership with other stake-holders will be doing door to door screening, referrals and defaulter tracing,” reads a statement from the organisation.

The awareness campaigns will be held on the following dates within the communities, on March 19 at Santa Village starting at 08:00 to 14:00.On March 26 the event will be held at Siphosensimbi Clinic in Extension 4. “This is the main event where we will be bringing all health services to the community. Stakeholders will have stalls and people will be moving from stall to stall to get tested and share information. The community is therefore cordially invited to join us in the fight against TB, HIV/AIDS on the above dates, your presence shall be greatly appreciated,” added the statement.
