A helping hand to animals in need

Cambridge School ran a competition challenging classes to collect food for animals in need. The class that managed to collect the most would win a prize.

They did exceptionally well, collecting a bakkie load of food, blankets and other items. They held this competition in aid of PETS Witbank, a non-profit animal welfare group.

Volunteers from PETS also went out to the school to discuss animal welfare with the students and took a couple of rescue dogs along with them to interact with the kids. This was thoroughly enjoyable for all.

The winners, who collected the most amount food, were Ms Kerry Davies’ Grade 0 class who received pizza from Panarottis as their prize.
PETS would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the effort put in by the staff and students at Cambridge Academy.

With the donation it was possible to feed many animals at Old Coronation squatter camp.

PETS also thanked Panarottis for donating the winning prize.
