He was met by thugs who stole all that he had on him and his arrival was perfectly set at the police station as that was the next best place he could go to for shelter.
Mr Erastus Simelane* said that he had just gotten off a taxi at Uthingo Park, when he was not if he had gotten off at the right place. “I stopped a vehicle to make sure that I was not lost, but I was surprised when they pulled a gun on me,” said Simelane. Apparently the armed men from the vehicle searched him as he stood frozen on the streets and they took all the belongings which they found on him. In his possession Simelane said that he had his cell phone, some money and a gold watch on him, which they also took. In total the value of all that was taken from him amounted to R4 850.
Simelane said that the men were in a Toyota Fortuner and he can recognise the car as well as the men who robbed him if he were to see him again.
