Witbank SAPS arrested 55 suspects during the week’s operations and they will carry on working around the clock.
Eight people were arrested for shoplifting, 10 for general theft, four for possession of drugs, five for driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, five for possession of stolen property, nine for assault, one for attempted murder, one for theft of copper cable, one for rape, one for discharging of firearm within municipal boundary, one for theft out of a motor vehicle, two for common robbery, two for housebreaking and theft, three for armed robbery, one for truck hijacking and one for reckless and negligent driving.
