Vosman police are doing what they can to ensure that the crime in the area does not increase but rather decrease and the streets are safe for all who live there.
In the past week alone 66 civilians were arrested for crimes committed in their community.
The highest number of detainees came from public drinkers and drug possessors, each respectively had a total of nine and 12 arrests.
The other concern is for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm also standing at 12 arrests. Seven were arrested for malicious damage to property, two for shoplifting, four for being in possession of stolen property, three for in contempt of court, six for theft, one for murder, one for rape, two for robbery, another two for house breaking and theft, four for driving under the influence of alcohol and one for being an illegal immigrant.
