The first incident took place on Thursday, October 9 at approximately 23:00 in De Kock Street.
In the morning when Mr Johannes Botes’ wife woke up, she noticed that the kitchen door was broken. Camping items, laptop and a BMW motorbike had been stolen.
On Saturday, October 11 at 20:40 Ms Mapile Mkhatsha left her vehicle in the parking area by her friend.
Mkhatsha asked her friend to bring her Volkswagen Polo into the garden. When her friend went outside to bring the car in, the vehicle was gone.
A case was opened of theft of motor vehicle at Witbank Police Station.
In Extension 10 on Sunday, October 12 at 03:00 Mr Danie Pretorius was sleeping at his place of residence.
He heard glass shatter in the kitchen, and when his son got up he noticed that there were armed men inside their house.
The dogs were poisoned with some sort of gas, which was also inside the house.
Pretorius and the rest of the family all suffered from headaches and the dogs were fine after a while.
A motorbike was also stolen.
