On Monday, December 22 as police were patrolling the streets of eMalahleni they noticed two Congolese nationals walking around in the streets sticking illegal advertisements on the street signs.
The men were appended and the police managed to seize fake notes, a Sedan and fraudulent certificates which they had in their possession.
“These adverts are polluting the city centre and as soon as the advert is removed then another is replaced almost immediately,” said Captain Eddie Hall, spokesperson from Witbank SAPS.
The suspects were kept at Witbank police station and they were expected to appear in Witbank Magistrates Court on Tuesday, December 23.
Many people in eMalahleni have been trying for months now to remove the posters that advertise illegal abortions amongst other things, now that two suspects have been placed behind bars maybe now the city centre will no longer be so polluted with the posters.
