Video: 16 injured in N4 accident
A Toyota Quantum rolled on the N4 sending the vehicle over the embankment.
On Wednesday, December 24 at approximately 10:30 16 people were left injured as the vehicle they were travelling rolled and flipped over the embankment.
The accident happened towards eMalahleni near the KG Mall.
It is still unclear how the accident happened; it’s alleged a tyre burst on the Quantum, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
As the Quantum laid on the grass patch down the embankment, emergency services attended to the injured.
As soon as a person was stabilised on a spine board they were winched up by two towing services.
The injured were placed in various ambulances and transported to Witbank Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
