Sydney Kenny Manaka (29) was traveling in his vehicle with a friend, Kgotso Zungu, when they were confronted by the suspect.
The incident was reported to the police on Saturday, February 14 at 14:00.
It is alleged that he blocked their way and started insulting them. Zungu tried to intervene by pulling Manaka back to the vehicle and was shot by the suspect in the left shoulder.
An ambulance was called which took him to hospital. At the hospital it was confirmed by the doctor that he also had a wound on the neck. Manaka was also shot.
The 36-year-old suspect has been arrested and police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
He appeared in court on Monday, February 16 and the case has been postponed to May 13.
