DA supports sustainability

Trays of seedlings such as cabbage, onions and lettuce for the vegetable garden situated at The Luncheon sponsored.

In order to help others help themselves and their community, Democratic Alliance (DA) Councillor Moosa Bhamjee, responsible for Ward 11 (including Schoongezicht), with the help of sponsors, donated trays of seedlings such as cabbage, onions and lettuce for the vegetable garden situated at The Luncheon.

This venue serves as a centre for distributing food to the elderly and produces some of its food from the vegetable garden, which is maintained by volunteers who also assist at the centre.

The trays of seedlings, together with 30kg of compost, were delivered to the centre on Thursday, April 10 by Councillors Bhamjee and Mike Hilton. The DA thanks all sponsors and wishes the activists in Ward 11 an abundant crop.
