On Wednesday, April 29 at 03:00 a 44-year-old woman was raped when she was dragged into bushes.
The woman said that she was at her home sleeping; her son was also in the house at the time.
She noticed a suspect entered her room and he had a torch. When she screamed he told her to shut up or he would kill her son.
He asked the woman for money and she replied that she does not have money in the home. He then dragged her to the lounge and he jumped out of the window.
When he was on the ground he ordered her to jump, she was not sure if he had a firearm so she jumped.
He dragged her to the bushes near Voortrekker Road, pushed her down onto the ground and raped her.
On Sunday, April 26 at approximately 00:00 a 63-year-old father called his daughter to find out where she was, as he could not reach her on her cell phone.
He called his 15-year-old granddaughter to find out where his daughter was. The granddaughter told him that she was not at home.
The concerned father then drove to eMalahleni only to find his granddaughter at home alone.
She told her grandfather what happened on the night that they went to a friend’s house. Three men were at the party as well.
One of them allegedly raped her that night and when she returned there the following day another man raped her.
Both suspects have not yet been arrested for the rape of the teenager.
