On Saturday, June 8 at 14:20 Ms Betty Mbatha got a lift from Middelburg to eMalahleni in a dark maroon Golf.
Inside the vehicle were two men and one woman.
Once Mbatha climbed inside the vehicle, the other woman seated in the back seat asked her where she was going and Mbatha replied that she was on her way to work.
While she was driving she received a phone call and answered it.
When Mbatha was done on the phone, the passenger told her to hand over her cell phone, so she made as if she did not hear him.
He then pulled out his firearm and took her cell phone from her, then took her bank card and asked for the pin.
Mbatha realized that she was in the wrong vehicle and gave the passenger the wrong pin, she was then dropped off on the Old Ogies road.
On the same day at 13:00 Mr Tolarance Tjatj was on his way home from campus when he came across two unknown suspects along the road.
One of the suspects pulled out a knife and the other pulled out a firearm.
Both weapons were pointed at Tjatj, he was searched and they took his cell phone and money.
Once they got what they wanted, they climbed into a green Opel Corsa.
On Friday, June 5 at 15:00 Mr Brilliant Nyathi was walking down Tom Naude Street when he was approached by two unknown suspects.
The men searched Nyathi and one of the suspects pulled out a firearm. They managed to take a cell phone and a tablet.
On Thursday, June 4 at approximately 00:35 Mr Jet Mthetwa was at the toll gate busy pouring water on the truck.
Two unknown men stopped, one was armed with a firearm.
He told Mthetwa to get out of the truck and took all of his possessions.
The suspect fled into the bushes and disappeared.
