On Monday, June 23 a motorist was obeying the road rules at a busy intersection when she was almost bumped off the road by a person who did not obey by the road rules.
The intersection of Hans Strydom and Steve Bantu Biko Streets are normally busy in the morning as parents are busy dropping their kids off at school.
Motorists coming from Reyno Ridge area, have to stop at the four way stop at the Hans Strydom and Steve Bantu Biko intersection.
At the intersection there are two lanes, one for going straight or to turn right into Steve Bantu Biko and the other lane is for turning left only.
According to many motorists what happens there is many mini buses go into the left hand lane and instead of turning left they go straight almost hitting law abiding motorists.
“I feel so frustrated because they just ignore road rules,” said a motorist.
On Friday, June 19 at the same intersection different mini busses who are supposed to turn left carry on straight.
“I was going straight in the lane, obeying the road rules, when he pushed me off the road into oncoming traffic,” said another motorist.
The mini buses who are doing this and who are not abiding to the rules of the road are putting many lives in danger.
