On Saturday, July 11 at 12:00 Mr Fortune Sekgula alleged that he was walking in Diedericks Street, when he was approached by two unknown men, one was armed with a knife.
They stabbed Sekgula in his hand and started searching him, then took his cell phone and ran away.
Mr Tsanky Rahlogo alleged that on Friday, July 10 at 19:15 he was walking along Mandela Street towards Corridor Hill. He was carrying his laptop and other items.
Three unknown men walked towards him but he carried on walking, then one of the men turned around and pulled out a knife.
The men then robbed him of all his belongings and ran away.
On the same day at 09:00 Mr Tewodros Ayele alleged that he was driving his bakkie, but had to stop as he had a mechanical problem. While he was attending to his vehicle in the road, two unknown men approached him and took his cell phone.
They started to run away, members from the community saw what happened and they chased the suspects. They managed to catch one of the suspects.
Mr John Mudziwo alleged that on Thursday, July 9 at 19:05 he was walking alone on Kiepersol Street on his way from work. Two men approached him and they asked him where he was going.
One suspect pressed an unknown object into Mudziwo’s stomach and took all his belongings.
Mr Gabisani Maphanga alleged that at 17:45 he was walking alone in Van de Venter Street when he was approached by two armed men. They grabbed him from behind and took his iPad and cell phone.
On the same day at 11:15 Mr Jacques Coetzer alleged that he was driving his bakkie in Mandela Street. He stopped at a robot. Four men approached his bakkie and one threatened him with a knife.
They took a couple of items and he will be able to identify the men.
On Wednesday, July 8 at 11:00 Ms Anna Roux alleged that she was in town when she was robbed of her belongings. One suspect was arrested.
Mr Donovan Denrat alleged that on Tuesday, July 7 at 15:30 he was walking in Mandela Street when he was robbed of his cell phone.
