Tragedy strikes at a restaurant

Mochachos Chicken Fiesta at Saveway Crescent Centre experienced a misfortune when the restaurant was robbed by two unknown men.

The incident happened on July 3 at 20:30 when one of the staff members who was a cashier, saw an unknown man who allegedly walked in and bought ice-cream. The cashier thought that the male was dodgy by how he presented himself. Then after he left she told her colleague about her suspicion and decided to hide some of the money that was in the till.

A few moments’ later two men walked into the shop holding guns. The cashier and the rest of the staff ran to the back of the restaurant, fearing for their lives.

Upon return they found the till open and it was evident the suspects took the rest of the money that was left at the till.

“Luckily no one was harmed. Cell phones that were stolen that day were also recovered,” said the owner of Mochachos Chicken Fiesta. The owner also added that everything was running smoothly and it is business as usual.

“We have arrested three suspects on July 6 who are believed to in connection of the business robbery. We are still investigating the matter further,” said Captain Eddie, spokesperson from Witbank SAPS.
