A 37 year-old man of KwaGuqa Extension 9 has been charged with being in possession of suspected stolen property.

Mr John Mohlala was arrested after police received a tip off and they went to search his house. At around 09:00 on Sunday, August 2 following up on the information they came to the house and after identifying themselves the police were allowed to search the house.

The containers filled with diesel, the four diesel pumps and 108 empty containers that were found by police inside the rooms of a house in KwaGuqa Extension 9.

In the backroom and in a shack inside the yard they found litres and litres of diesel in containers. Three 30 litres containers, Six 25 litres containers, four diesel pumps and 108 empty containers were found inside the rooms. The value of all the goods is estimated to be worth R20 000.

Mohlala could not explain how he got the diesel and what it was used for. He was then arrested for possession of suspected stolen property. Further investigations continues.
