Vosman police managed to arrest two suspects who were tried in court and were found guilty and were sentenced.
This came after Jappie December Mlota (42) with his partners in crime Jabulani Kenneth Pienaar (37) has been sentenced for an attempted murder case they committed in 2013.
Vosman police were looking for the suspects after they committed the crime. Their victim was shot six or seven times. It was reported that Mlota and Pienaar both of Middelburg were wanted in connection with an attempted murder, which happened on October 6 in 2013 at about 20:30 near Highveld Steel.
The victim Mr Frank Mhlanga apparently received a call that he should meet Mlota. The call indicated that he has diesel and that Mhlanga should come and buy it from him. The arrangement was that they would meet on Old Pretoria Road near Highveld Steel.
Mhlanga was driving a golden coloured VW and he was travelling with another man on their way to meet Mlota.
Mhlanga was shot six or seven times by the suspect and left on the road, for dead.
The pair was arrested in November in 2013 and their trial started, they were found guilty and they were both sentenced to eight years each for the crime they committed.
