Ms Maria Cebekhulu said she won’t rest until she gets her RDP house.
Ms Cebekhulu who resides in Extension 16 said she applied for an RDP in 1995 and went to check about her application and was told that her house had came out in September 1996 but only to find out that it was given to somebody else.

Ms Maria Cebekhulu who alleges that ‘her RDP house’ was sold to another person.
“I then visited the house and the owner told me that the house was sold to him by a certain official (Mr Judas) who used to work in the housing department. On further inquiring I also found out that the occupant of ‘her house’ has another house in Hlalanikahle Phase Four (Extension 4),” stated Ms Cebekhulu.
Ms Cebekhulu said she has been trying to get ‘her house’ back but nobody is willing to help her. She has even consulted and sought help from her Cllr Tebogo Mabula and was promised that she will be helped and later told a ward committee member will assist her but she has been waiting ever since. She says at one stage she was given some documents at the municipality to give to Cllr Mabula to help her to get her house back. She alleges that she has visited the municipality several times but has been sent from pillar to post.
“I am even contemplating going to Nelspruit to seek the help of the Premier of the province himself. I was advised to make a new application and yet I have a house belonging to me. I just hope the ward committee member will help me, I think that is my last hope,” concluded Ms Cebekhulu.
