Witbank police are investigating a case of murder after a 22-year-old woman was found murdered in Old Coronation.
According to the police Nqobile Skosana of Thushananga was allegedly killed by her ex boyfriend. Police were notified after the body was found inside the shack. A witness showed them the body in a pool of blood with wounds all over.
Apparently the ex boyfriend used a spade to kill her, as it was found near the body. The suspect ran away afterwards.
According to the deceased’s grandmother, the victim has two children, a five-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl. She is said to have loved spending most of her time with her children, sometimes going to visit friends and being at home.
“Her death came as a total shock to us as a family because they were already separated. She once told us that he was happy about the separation and always threatened her. We did not know that it would come to this,” explained the grandmother.
The family were called to the scene and identified her. She had died on the scene.
No one has been arrested and police are investigating a case of murder.
