A human bone remains at Masakhane

In the same place a shack had been built and later burned down. The occupant of the shack was staying with his girlfriend. On further digging more bones were discovered. All that happened on September 14.
The police were called after the discovery and they picked up the bones which were taken to the Pathology Department in Middelburg.
The human bone and hair pieces believed to have been worn by the deceased before she was allegedly killed by her boyfriend.
Apparently the couple, who are both from KwaZulu-Natal and were staying in the shack, had a lot of fights.
Allegedly the boyfriend killed the girlfriend buried her inside the shack before the shack burned down.
It was also stated that the deceased had come to Mpumalanga looking for a job and back home they had thought he had found a job. The boyfriend also told the family she had found another boyfriend and they were no longer in love.
After the suspect had gone home to his father’s funeral in KwaZulu-Natal, the suspect’s brother, when told about the discovery, confirmed that his girlfriend vanished and was never seen again. The family was called by the police and confirmed that it was their daughter after seeing her clothes.
“As an African I respect the remains of other human beings and I think the right thing should be done to dig deeper and search for more bones to be sent to the pathology department. I suspect there are more bones in that grave. The police should keep to their promise as I had informed them about the bone and hair pieces. They had promised to dig more,” said Tshehla.
Tshehla is also worried that suspect is still free as he has not been arrested as confirmed by the family of deceased.
Blinkpan police indicated that the investigating officer is presently at workshop in Nelspruit and will only be coming back next week. They promised that they will inform their commander about the issue.
