Mr Themba Elias Mabena (28) had a lucky escape after he was hijacked, robbed of some items and locked in his house.
Mabena reported to the police that he was forced inside his house in Hlalanikahle Extension 1. He was confronted by three unknown suspects just as he arrived at his home and parked his car.
They forced him into the house and one of the suspects pointed a gun at him. They then took some items and locked him in the house.
They took away a laptop, cell phones, music system and they left in his Range Rover. The value of the items taken is estimated at R50 000 excluding the car.
Mabena managed to get out of the house unharmed.
Apparently Mabena has been monitored by the suspects.
The police were alerted and the car was recovered with slight damage in Dennilton and was taken to Dennilton Police Station. No one has been arrested and police are investigating a case of hijacking and robbery.
