A 31 year old has been added to the number of statistics of people that get subjected to house robberies.
The incident happened on October 24 in the early hours of the morning at his house in Old Coronation. His friend came to his house to borrow money. He offered his friend a helping hand and borrowed him the amount of money he had requested being R250.
About 30 minutes later his friend came back with another man, and a few moments later they allegedly heard the door being forcefully pushed and in went three men armed.
He was apparently pointed at with a firearm and assaulted by the suspects. They asked for money and when he refused they searched his pockets and took his wallet.
In a police report he said that in pursuit of finding answers as to what might have happened he decided to give his friend’s father a call and to his surprise as he described the incident to him he found out that his friends father was also robbed by the men that fitted the description described.
The man does not know the people but suspects that the men that came with his friend at his house might know a thing or two about the incident.
The man was fortunate enough to not have sustained any injuries despite him being assaulted by the suspects. Police have not made any arrests as yet.
Several attempts to try get hold of the victim failed.
