Police in Vosman are investigating a case of rape and robbery at a house in KwaGuqa Extension 10.
It was reported by the police that the 40 year-old victim was asleep at her place on Friday, October 23 at about 02:00 when the intruder forced his way in. The suspect broke the door to gain entry into the house and pointed at her with a firearm. The victim was held at gun point while he ordered her to undress. He then raped her and took all electrical appliances as well as her plasma television.
Police are investigating the case and waiting for a DNA results, the victim was still in shock when she was questioned.
Police reported that three house robberies were reported over the weekend and it is a cause for concern for the police. The police said it appears that most house robberies are committed using items they find at the residence. Some community members installed burglar systems which are of poor quality and are easy to break. It is always recommended to alter routes and daily ways of conducting one’s life. The police suggest that community members use alternative routes as well.
No one has been arrested and police are investigating a case of rape and armed robbery.
