The Kriel SAPS is investigating a case of armed robbery. According to their communications official Cst Lindiwe Sibanyoni on October 31 at about 02:00 the employees at a petrol station in Ga-Nala were going about their work when three armed gunmen held them up. The robbers apparently found a truck driver who was sleeping in the cab of his truck next to the petrol station and held him up along with the petrol station employees. One of the robbers who were allegedly armed with a rifle guarded the victims while the other two robbers rigged the office safe with explosives. They managed to break the safe open and once they had their loot they escaped the scene without saying anything further to the victims.
