There was a lot of commotion after a vehicle crashed into seven other parked cars at Highveld Mall.

There was a lot of commotion after a vehicle crashed into seven other parked cars at Highveld Mall. The driver of a Land Rover according to witnesses drove into three other vehicles which in turn pushed those vehicles into three more parked cars. Apparently the driver suffered an epileptic attack while driving through the parking lot near the Game entrance that caused his vehicle to accelerate and crash into the cars.

The incident occurred during the busy hours of Friday, November 6 at about 12:00. According to Riaan Stoop the Facilities manager at Highveld Mall said that no one was injured as none of the owners of the vehicles where in or near their cars. Three vehicles needed to be towed away as they were too damaged to drive.

Barrier tape was put up to keep bystanders away while they cleared up the accident scene.

The man the suffered the epileptic fit was taken to Hospital by his wife after declining being transported by the ambulance the mall staff had called in.

It was an eventful day as hundreds of people passed the accident scene on their way in and out of the Mall. The case has been reported to the Witbank SAPS collisions office.
