“The Witbank SPCA is opposed to the inhumane killing of any animal. All animals are protected under the Animals Protection Act No. 71 of 1962. Persons committing an offence under this Act can be prosecuted in a court of law. The community should not have taken the law into their own hands but rather allowed the correct authorities to handle the situation. No animal should have to suffer by slowly burning to death!” stated Ms Natalée Pretorius manager of Witbank SPCA.
