The Witbank SAPS in co –operation with the Community Policing Forum (CPF) members arrested 79 suspects the past week and the cells are filled to the brim.
Nine people were arrested for shoplifting, five for driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, 10 for general theft, 16 for assault, eight for possession and dealing in drugs, four for possession of suspected stolen property and three for malicious damage to property.
Then the arrests continued as three people were arrested for selling liquor without a licence, two for domestic violence, eight illegal immigrants, two for reckless and negligent driving, five for fraud, two for common robbery and two for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
