30 days later and a problem that was fixed created another one. This follows after municipal workers were notified about a water leak at Conradie Street which they came to fix.

About three days later another pipe had a problem but that too was fixed. While trying to solve the problem, another one rose when a hole that was dug to fix the pipes was never closed.
“It has been about a month now and we are stuck with this problem. We have tried all channels but no one has got back to us yet.”

The gate that is now un-accessible was used to exit the yard but now that cannot happen. Rather the gate in front is now used for both entering and exiting the place.
“It is not the only one, we need to import back filling material from the borrow pit. There has been delay due to backlog but we have prioritised these holes,” said Kingdom Mabuza, the municipality’s’ spokesperson.
