Government employee, Tshifhango’s murder case postponed

The court case has been postponed to March 24 for further investigations

Murder suspects Sithembiso Mike Ndaba and Ayanda Mahlobo once again appeared at the Ermelo Magistrate Court this past week. The 24-year-olds were arrested for being in connection of a government employee, Mr Rofhiwa Tshifhango’s murder case. The pair appeared on Friday, February 24.

Mahlobo and Ndaba face charges of murder, kidnapping, armed robbery, theft of a motor vehicle and the attempted murder of Mr Mandla Mahlangu (Tshifhango’s colleague). They were arrested on December 29, 2016 at Kriel. The deceased was an employee of the Department of Public Works.

On the evening of Monday, November 28, 2016 Ndaba and Mahlobo went into Tshifhango’s (38) house where he was with Mahlangu (32). They were both taken to Spitzkop Farm where Tshifhango was allegedly strangled to death by a rope and Mahlangu was shot several times and left for dead. The men were found the following day where Tshifhango was found dead and Mahlangu alive.
