A case of attempted murder was opened at Witbank Police Station on Tuesday, March 7 at 08:00.
The incident occured when a woman was on her way home after dropping her kids off at school. She was on her way back to the farm and was driving a gold Toyota Avanza.

When she was about 500 metres in her driveway, she saw an unknown man standing inside the farm and in his hand was a black bag.

The woman then asked if she could help him, by slightly opening her window. That is when the man just started shouting at her and she could not hear what he was saying.

He withdrew a gun from the bag he was carrying. She tried to move the vehicle but the hand break was still on.
The woman who was in shock, shouted at him not to shoot her and then she heard a loud noise, then the glass shattered.

Not knowing what had happened, she noticed all the broken glass and a part of the firearm inside the vehicle.
The woman then drove off and noticed that blood was coming from her head. She drove herself to the doctor’s room where she received treatment.
