eBhudzini residents rejoice as power returns
Residents are celebrating a return to normal life after living without power since a transformer blew in April.
A months-long electricity crisis experienced by eBhudzini Flats residents in Ackerville has ended following the successful replacement of a damaged transformer in the area.
The breakthrough came after a prolonged struggle that began in April when a transformer exploded, leaving residents in the dark.

Relief for residents
According to resident Thulani Mokoena, after persistent efforts to voice their concerns to community leaders regarding electricity issues, their lights went back on August 29.
“We are happy to finally have electricity again; now our lives can go back to normal because living without electricity was not easy,” Mokoena said.
