Two men died in hospital and cases of murder are being investigated by officers at Witbank Police Station.

On Sunday, April 23 at about 03:00 constables on duty received a complaint about a possible murder case at Witbank Provincial Hospital.

When they arrived at the hospital, they spoke to the sister on duty that showed them the body of Mr Dumisani Nkosi (38) that was brought into the hospital at 02:51.

He was stabbed twice in the chest at the tavern in MNS Squatter Camp.
Nkosi was declared dead at the hospital.

“He was a very good brother to me and to the family, we loved him so much and he will be dearly missed,” said Mr Filijie Nkosi, the brother of Dumisani.

Nkosi’s funeral will be held on Saturday, April 29 at Kromdraai.
He leaves behind his girlfriend and a child.

In a separate case on Friday, April 21 at 11:00 police constables from Witbank Police Station received a call from the radio control room who informed them that a person was dead at Witbank Provincial Hospital and it was an unnatural death.

Once the constables arrived at the hospital they were taken to the body. According to information received, he died as a result of injuries received in the assault.

The police will continue investigating the two cases of murder.
