Man arrested after being found dealing in drugs worth R21 000

The fight to keep drugs off the streets continues. A man aged 33 was arrested on Friday, June 9 for dealing in drugs at Ga-Nala.

The value of the drugs was estimated to be R21 160.00. He was arrested by Secunda’s unit, Directorate of Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI). A white Volkswagen polo was seized at the crime scene.


A man was arrested on Friday, June 9 at Ga-Nala for dealing in drugs. This vehicle was seized during the arrest.

He appeared at the Kriel Magistrate Court on Monday, June 12. This case has been postponed to June 20 for a bail application. The accused has a pending matter of the same offence of dealing in drugs which will see him appear in court on July 26.

“Ga-Nala is facing a huge problem concerning drugs and as a result such people dealing in drugs will be arrested if found by police,” said Kriel police spokesperson, Cst Masadi Mahlakoane.
