The Forum of Community Journalists (FCJ) announced the names of the Top 10 entries in all the different categories for the prestigious FCJ Excellence Awards 2016.

The final countdown has begun and tonight our own journalists will be competing against the cream of the crop of community journalists in the country.

The Forum of Community Journalists (FCJ) announced the names of the Top 10 entries in all the different categories for the prestigious FCJ Excellence Awards 2016.

These journalists and newspapers will be recognised for work published during 2016.

From WITBANK NEWS we have Chrisune Vermeulen, Samantha Traill, Solly Maseko, Trevor Aingworth and Zita Goldswain in the running tonight.

“We received entries of the highest calibre and the winners are truly the best in South Africa’s community and local journalism industry,” says Fanie Groenewald, convenor of the judging panel.
