Driver allegedly speeds off after accident

Talent Makahamadze is left fuming after being involved in an accident last week.

On the afternoon of Thursday, June 22 Makahamadze was travelling in Paul Sauer Street when a car bumped his vehicle.

Cruising in his silver Mercedes Benz from work, Makahamadze turned right at the robots going into Ben Fleur Shopping Centre.

“The robot was green for cars that were turning into the Shopping Centre when a white Toyota Hilux single cab ran a red robot and bumped my car,” explained Makahamadze.

The Hilux was travelling on Paul Sauer Street (coming from the Reyno Ridge direction).

Makahamadze alleged that he exited his vehicle and confronted the driver of the Hilux hoping to resolve the matter peacefully.

However, the Hilux then apparently bumped the Mercedes twice and then drove off. According to an eye witness he alleged the Hilux almost ran over Makahamadze.

The Mercedes has extensive damage in the front with the bonnet being one of the parts damaged on the vehicle.
