Phola Police slam down on the drug trade

Five bags of pinch were confiscated by Phola Police when they arrested a man in possession.

The arrest took place on June 20 at about 11:40 at the Siyabonga Section in Phola.

Const Mabitje Mampa and Const Tebogo Pureen Masango arrested a man for possession of drugs.

Const Masango received information from an informer that there was someone at Siyabonga Section busy selling drugs and gave police a proper description.

Const Masango then followed up on the information accompanied by Const Mampa.


Const Mabitje Mampa and Const Tebogo Pureen Masango with the drugs confiscated during police operations.

The two policemen found the suspect fitting the informer’s description and took him into custody after searching him and finding him in possession of five black plastic bags containing pinch.

One small transparent plastic bag was also found containing dagga and loose money.

The suspect was detained at Phola Police Station and will appear before the Ogies Magistrates Court on Wednesday 21 June for first appearance and bail application.
