YCLSA celebrates youth month at the City Hall
It is the time to re-evaluate dreams and aspirations to make the generation of 1976 proud.

The month of June is marked yearly in the calendar as an important time for the youth. It is the time to re-evaluate dreams and aspirations to make the generation of 1976 proud.
As such, the Young Communist League of South Africa (YCLSA) Mpumalanga hosted their Youth Month rally on Sunday, June 18 at Emalahleni City Hall.

The national youth rally’s theme was: ‘Consolidate young communists, organise young people and prepare for socialism’.

Prior to this event YCLSA had a few activities. On Thursday, June 15 they were at Maloma Primary School. On Friday, YCLSA had a joint programme with the National Union of Mineworkers Youth Structure (NUMYS) visiting Matimba Hall and Saturday was NUMYS soccer tournament at Landau Sports field.
Top three speakers on Sunday were Mluleki Dlelanga (YCLSA national secretary), Blade Nzimande (South African Communist Party General secretary) and Cyril Ramaphosa (African National Congress deputy president). The youth rally was joined by people from NUMYS, Congress of South African Students (COSAS), South African Students Congress (SASCO) and the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL).

Tinyiko Ntini (YCLSA Provincial Secretary), Mluleki Dlelanga (YCLSA national secretary) and Dr Aaron Motsoaledi (Minister of Health) were some of the officials that attended the YCLSA’s Youth Month rally. The celebrations were hosted at Emalahleni City Hall on Sunday, June 18.
Two apologies were announced by the National Chairperson of YCLSA Yershen Pillay coming from Nzimande and Ramaphosa who could not attend the event due to circumstances beyond their control. Minster of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi was present as one of the speakers.
