
Two people burnt beyond recognition in an accident in eMalahleni and the police are looking for family members to identify them.
On Sunday, July 2 at approximately 02:10 in Watermeyer Street an accident occurred where two vehicles were involved.
It’s unclear what the first vehicle was as it totally burnt out in the slow lane facing oncoming traffic. The only information the police on scene could get from the vehicle was the engine number.
The two people inside the vehicle burnt beyond recognition, one was seated in the driver’s seat and the other in the passenger seat.
The other vehicle that was involved was a silver Audi that came to a stand still approximately 7.2 metres from the first vehicle also facing the same direction, with damage to the front of the car.
The driver was seriously injured and was taken to Life Cosmos Hospital for further treatment.
According to an eye witness, it’s alleged that the driver of the Audi, hit the first vehicle which set alight.
According to results that the people that burnt to death are not from South Africa and family members are needed to identify them.
